Full Job Description
***MUST have an active Secret Clearance (or higher) AND IAM Level II certification (Security+ is the most common, but CCNA, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, and GCIH all also meet the requirement) – NO exceptions***
- System Administration support to include operations, maintenance, lifecycle management, installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and reliable operation of computer systems, network and servers, including tiered support
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, security, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Support desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
Required Technical Skills:
- Systems Administration experience with:
- Server Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Remote Server Backups
- VM Technologies
- DNS
- Active Directory
- Server Patching
- Knowledge of US Army computer systems and policies preferred
