National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) Digital Exhibits

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a military museum dedicated to showcase the material history of the United States Marine Corps. MSM Technology LLC partnered with Futron Inc. as a woman-owned small business (WOSB) to provide Project Management on a single award IDIQ contract. This project premieres a "Networked Exhibition" AV design to extend the Marine Corps story line from 1976 to present day with advanced digital exhibits.

MSM Technology engages Project Management best practices for PMP, ITIL v3 and Agile to lead this multi-year effort across 19 galleries and 116 exhibits. Efforts include infrastructure, multi-vendor team management, and solution deliverables for design, prototyping, hardware, integration, installation. programming/test and maintenance. Central to this project lifecycle are failover architectures and a networked operational control design which maintains gallery/exhibit integrity and reliability. MSM Technology is directly responsible for ensuring the goals of NMMC to develop all galleries towards a modern, immersive, technology appropriate customer experience, which illustrates the historic achievements of the US Marine Corps.

 

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)

MSM Technology provides application support, tape library support, and scheduling and batch processing automation support services to the Defense Information Systems Agency at the Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) in Mechanicsburg, PA. MSM provides management analysis support for planning, documentation and operation, as well as problem resolution of software, hardware, and communication systems from both a technical and an administrative view. Other IT support services include expert-level system integration support and installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software and UNIX based systems, to ensure the availability of information systems in the server environment.

MSM Technology also support’s DISA’s tape library, including mailing, filing, and retrieving tape media as well as shipping and receiving Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) tapes off-site, and distributing mail in response to internal and external customer requirements. Scheduling and batch processing automation support includes setting up schedules, modifying schedules, and providing training in the control product in response to internal and external customer requirements.

 

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Unified Communication System

MSM Technology is supporting the “state-of-the-art, practice, and next-generation” Hybrid ((Internet Protocol (IP) and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)) Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Unified Communication (UC) solution to replace the current Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Bethesda (WRNMMCB) end-of-life Avaya/Nortel CS1000 PBX as well as establish collaboration capabilities on a consolidated Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA) medical network platform.

The PBX-UC hybrid solution will meet the needs of up to 20,000 potential users ranging from military personnel to civilian staff and contractors. When complete, the solution will support everything from mobile device users to fixed installation, and will integrate with collaboration tools including instant messaging, SMS, conferencing, automatic call distribution, email and desktop sharing capabilities. It will accommodate “conversation hand-off” capabilities across analog, digital, fixed and mobile devices and be seamless, regardless of the device used. MSM Technology is helping to develop the solution to operate in all DoD Military Health System (MHS) approved WAN/LAN network infrastructure without interoperability issues or any service impact if connected to the DoD WAN/LAN network.

 

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)

Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is a multi-year Customs Border and Protection (CBP) modernization effort being developed and deployed in phases and providing a solid technology foundation for all border security initiatives within CBP.

MSM Technology’s strategic involvement includes participating, documenting, developing, implementing and supporting all stages of the System Life Cycle (SLC) as set forth by DHS published guidelines. As an integral part of the SLC process model, MSM Technology continues to meet the goals and milestones set.
MSM Technology has been integral in the planning and coordination efforts to support the operational infrastructure and infrastructure updates to support the ACE deliveries as set forth.

 
U.S. Internal Revenue Service Performance Management Modernization

MSM Technology provided management and engineering support for Performance Management, Analysis and Reporting (PMAR), implementing and integrating Cognos’ Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) core products and Tivoli’s core products. MSM Technology was responsible for developing installation documentation and providing training for the Tivoli Core products Suite, TDS and Cognos EBI suite.

MSM served as the Project Lead on the Modernization Team for the IRS Enterprise System Management (ESM) project adhering to the CSC Catalyst lifecycle methodology (a tailored ELC methodology) to successfully deliver on-time and within budget the monitoring and reporting system, adhering to requirements as set by the government agency.
