Full Job Description
- Provide contract and project management support as assigned to oversee MSM contracts to include regular communications with the COR, other customer stakeholders, contract partners, and project teams
- Manage technical SMEs, engineers, developers, and team leads, supervise day-to-day project coordination and tasks to keep projects on track from a cost, schedule and resource allocation perspective, and provide executive level reporting to the VP of Operations
- Identify organic growth opportunities with the customer through 1) learning customer pain points and offering MSM solutions on existing contracts and/or new business with the same customer; 2) providing thought leadership through assessment of future project requirements and developing strategies for future project work; and 3) prospecting and developing relationships with key customer decision-makers
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive and secure contract recompete wins
- Help drive strategic initiatives and support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals
- Contribute to project past performance resources and draft CPARS development
- Measure and report project performance to drive high CPARS and overall customer satisfaction, and conduct post-effort retrospective reviews
- Clearly and precisely document and maintain version control of documentation including project plans, task lists / action item logs, risk and mitigation plans/logs, corrective actions, performance metrics, technical documents, deliverables and status reports
- Provide input to job reqs and conduct technical interviews to support project hiring decisions
- Coordinate with the COR to comply with all onboarding and offboarding requirements to ensure smooth staff transitions
- Conduct performance reviews and provide insights and recommendations for promotions, spot bonus recognition, career growth opportunities, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned in areas such as cloud, network automation, cyber, and IT services
- Follow Agile, ITIL, and ISO best practices and participate in compliance activities Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Contract Manager, or other similar role working with the Federal Government in support of Information Technology (IT) projects
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Secret or higher security clearance; at a minimum, the role requires candidate be eligible for a clearance
- B.S. or B.A. preferred
- Must be proficient in project management best practices; PMP certification preferred
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have experience with metric reporting for customer stakeholders and executive management
- Must have strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including good customer service and sales skills Must be well organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize urgent requirements
