***MUST have an active Secret Clearance (or higher)
- Provide network architectural design, engineering, implementation, sustainment, migration, technical refresh, and lifecycle services for Datacenter and Cloud enterprise network infrastructure
- Engineer and implement network architectural changes in response to future network technology enhancements, customer requirements, security requirements and enhancements, technical refresh efforts, lifecycle requirements, or changes in network capacity requirements
- Proficient in support of network design and Cloud management [Amazon Web Services (AWS)/AZURE] solutions
- Develop and provide Engineering Design Solutions (EDS) for any new network hardware, network enclave, or network capability that may be introduced in to the DISA Data Center environment
- Support a number of Intrusion and Detection Systems (IDS) and other network defense architectures in support of cyber defense operations and cloud migration initiatives
- Support all current and future Data Center enterprise network infrastructure architectures and cloud initiatives in accordance with industry standards and best practice
- Ensure all software and firmware on network hardware are maintained and up to date on vendor supportable code versions
- Responsible for acquisition, commissioning, capacity planning, de-commissioning, and tracking of wide area connectivity supporting Data Centers
- Communicate, brief ideas and information to people of non-technical background to include senior leadership
- Assist in technical working groups, contribute to product evaluations, developing recommendations, and preparation/presentation of briefings
Required Technical Skills:
- Must have an active SECRET or higher security clearance
- 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise scale Network operations.
- 5+ years of experience with hands‐on operational, development, and management experience with Commercial cloud Services.
- 5+ years of experience in migration of hosted applications to a cloud environment.
- DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01 IAT Level II Certification (can be one of the following: Security+ or CySA+)
- Relevant Computing Environment (CE) certification based on the equipment and software relevant to primary duties
- CCNP, ONF-Certified SDN Professional, VCP Cloud Management & Automation preferred but not required
- Strong and extensive knowledge of datacenter‐based network methods, protocols, technologies i.e.:
- Domain Name Server Management [DNS]
- Cloud management [Amazon Web Services (AWS)/AZURE]
- Routing [BGP/ OSPF/MP‐BGP/ MPLS/ VPN/Multicast/ PBR]
- Switching [RSTP, VLAN, VXLAN, LLDP, VPC, LACP, LAG]
- TCP/IP) [IPv4, IPv6, UDP, Layer 1 through Layer 7, IPSEC, HAIPE]
- Firewalls [VPN, ACLs, Whitelisting]
- Software Defined Networking (SDN)/Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)/Infrastructure as Code (IaC) [Cisco ACI, Service Insertion, Ansible, SSL cert]
- Load balancing [APM, ASM, LTM, GTM]
- Identity and Access Management with RBAC [AAA/RADIUS/TACACS/LDAP]
- Network management and analysis [Performance Mgr (PM), Juniper Space, Cisco ISE, Splunk]
- Structured cabling and installation standards
- IT Bachelor’s Degree or Vendor Network Certification (Professional or higher)
