Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist I, preferably with a background in government contracting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in human resources, with a specific focus on supporting government contracting activities. As an HR Generalist I, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, employee relations, on-boarding and off-boarding, assist with benefits administration, and compliance.
- Knowledge of commonly used HR concepts, practices, and laws.
- Experience with On-boarding and off-boarding employees.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure compliance with government contract-specific onboarding requirements.
- Sending communications to employees.
- Administer and model company policies, procedures, programs and philosophy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including personnel files, employee data.
- Support recruiting activities including posting job reqs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, sending offer letters, and maintaining associated data records.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, specifically supporting government contracting activities.
- An understanding of HR best practices, employee relations, administration, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player open to taking on new tasks and challenges.
- Life cycle recruiting experience.
- Experience using a Human Resources Information System, preferred.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., aPHR, SHRM-CP), preferred.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $62,000
**Salary is commensurate with education and experience**
