***MUST have an active Secret Clearance (or higher)

  • Develop Python libraries and tools to automate hybrid physical and virtual machines and network infrastructure.
  • Provide automated solutions that drive efficient change, automation, and configuration that provides security administration, and compliance across the network domain.
  • Integrate with already existing internal and third-party APIs
  • Develop automated tests to verify correctness of libraries and tools.
  • Ensure all software and firmware on network hardware and OE’s are maintained and up to date on vendor supportable code versions.
  • Ensure all code versions are Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliant in accordance with DISA Ecosystem standards.
  • Ensure devices are upgraded in 30 days of receipt of listings or coordinate POA&Ms as needed if timeline can’t be met.
  • Ensure subject upgrades are performed in accordance with government requested timelines for (1) Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) has been issued for a specific device and code version via a DISA Tasking Order (DTO) (2) Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) has been issued for a specific device and code version via a DISA Tasking Order (DTO) or (3) A vendor code bug notification that may impact the operational environment.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts that are used outside of automation tools.
  • Contribute and oversee hardware and software lifecycle management tracking, manpower, defining shared infrastructure design standards, capacity services, code evaluation for feature enhancements, cost container, definition of services, and project management for Communications Line of Business (CLOB).
  • Assist in providing solutions that reduce costs and human error associated with manual tasks and change by automating those tasks
  • Ensure workflows are configured properly to provide infrastructure capacity and performance management for forecasting and planning on future requirements
  • Support with workflows that will develop templates based on CLOB requirements as they are requested on automation request site
  • Adhere to DISA enterprise network standards to include: developing support documentation, leading technical working groups, conducting product evaluations, developing recommendations, and preparing and presenting briefings.
  • Engineer and implement network architectural changes in response to future network technology enhancements, customer requirements, security requirements and enhancements, technical refresh efforts, lifecycle requirements, or changes in network capacity requirements.
  • Deliver design, engineering, implementation, migration, and sustainment support for migrating and sustaining applications aligned behind the WAF.
  • Provide support to engineering peers and other counterparts on policies, procedures, and operational concerns regarding configurations and supported applications as well as future migrations for new and existing Business.
  • Participate in project reviews.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Must have an active SECRET or higher security clearance
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with various programming languages to include but not- limited to Python, PHP, Perl, SQL, bash, expect, TCL, JavaScript, html, xml, Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) and variations of xml for REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Must Have: DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01 IAT Level II Certification (can be one of the following: Security+ or CySA+)
  • Must Have: Relevant Computing Environment (CE) certification based on the equipment and software relevant to primary duties (or ability to attain in 6 mos)
  • CCNP, Python, PHP, Perl, and/or SQL preferred
  • Must Have: Familiarity with network infrastructure environment and network defense
  • Must Have: IT Bachelor’s degree or Vendor Network Certification (Professional or higher)
